Building a brand for a florist shop is awesome because you are surrounded by the beautiful world of flowers and hard because the options for flower designs is seriously overwhelming! Coral Bloom is a fine art florist that specializes in weddings in the Dallas area. They are studio that is not afraid of bright and bold colors but loves the delicate nature of flowers. Combining the feeling of bright and bold with the delicate side of nature was essential for designing the florist logo.
Color & Typography
The style for the brand was fresh and bright with an emphasis on Pantone's Living Coral. The color palette revolves around Living Coral and a fresh and modern feel. A beautiful corner flower shop that you love to visit. Keeping the typography clean and easy to read, I choose on of my favorite sans fonts, Audrey. It is an elegant (just like the actress!) typeface by Cristina Pagnotta that was just made to represent flowers.
Logo Usage
An important part of the branding was having a universal logo that would look great everywhere in it's primary coral color. The logo design will be used on packaging, marketing, storefronts and the website. It needed to pop on both white/light and dark charcoal backgrounds.
Illustrations
Creating a custom illustration was important to bring that delicate organic piece into the typography. I wanted the flower illustration to be whimsical to represent the idea of flowers, leaves, branches and vines to encompass all the aspects of floral design.
